Who We Are

We are Conexus Nuclear Inc. (Conexus), a Canadian not-for-profit corporation funded by our 11 members in six countries worldwide to achieve excellence through collaboration for CANDU and advanced nuclear technologies.

Conexus brings the industry together to solve the most challenging technical problems, realize opportunities, share expertise and operating experience, and support robust regulatory acceptance. We do this through collaboration, which enhances safety and reliability, strengthens human performance, reduces environmental impacts and minimizes risk and cost.

Conexus is based in Toronto, Canada. We are a lean, diverse team of industry and subject matter experts with an international network of nuclear researchers, decision makers, operators and utilities, suppliers, industry associations and partners.

The Conexus Team

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is made up of representatives from our voting members—organizations whose investments in Conexus meet a certain threshold, granting them a vital role in shaping our strategic direction. Board members represent key industry players, including Ontario Power Generation (OPG), Bruce Power, New Brunswick Power (NB Power), Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL), and Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica (SNN) from Romania.

The board plays a crucial role in overseeing business direction, mission and strategy, as well as providing governance on management systems, human resources, corporate risk, member relationships and communications. Directors work collaboratively to deliver maximum value for our members and participants.

​Leadership Team

Under the leadership of President and CEO Rachna Clavero, the Leadership team oversees five key areas: Research and Development (R&D), Joint Projects and Services (JP&S), Nuclear Safety and Environmental Affairs (NSEA), Information Exchange (IE) and Learning and Development (L&D). Additionally, our Corporate Services, Communications, Business Services teams support operational efficiency and security and demonstrate our value to all members.

Our staff represents an exceptional team of skilled project managers and industry subject matter experts (SMEs). These professionals bring vast experience in advanced nuclear technology, plant operations, industry strategy, finance, administration, training and communications, all driving the success of our collaborative model.
